An interview with me allowed me to talk about the industry, SEMPO and what I see coming.

And the Q&A follow up was really fun.

Example of Questions and my Answers:

What are your biggest pet peeves? I think my biggest pet peeve to bring it back to the business is people posting on forums and blogs with no accountability. They don’t use their real names. I don’t think that that’s fair play. There’s just no accountability as to who’s saying what. I think people use those [outlets] to libel and slander other people. What you’ve done is taken away the legal recourse and you’ve given people much more airtime to do that kind of thing. It’s small-minded. If you want to have a fight, let’s do it face-to-face.

What scares you the most? I’m frightened that there’s an Internet bubble happening again. I’m worried about the amount of venture capital that’s being invested in startups and just the amount of venture capital money wanting to be invested. I’m frightened about some of the business plans that I see from dot-com companies where they’re just completely based on advertising revenue from another company. I don’t want that vicious cycle happening again. I live in the middle of the Silicon Valley and I don’t want to see it happening again.
